It's a conventional 1600 petrol engine (VT I think) - quite an old design I believe. Your diesel of course, does not use spark plugs 😡! That's where my hash comes from. I was wondering if a metal screen earthed above the plug leads might help reduce the hash.
Your 2002 Ford, is doing very well - 24 years old & still getting you around.
Some EV's kick up a lot of hash on MW - I had one overtake me on the A14 the other day, & the electronic noise from it wiped out 648 😡
I wonder if ALL Ev's are like that?
It's not a bad Audio system - CD player can cope with MP3 CDs - & the USB plug is an option too, though your have to use the correct "FAT" when creating them.
Now we have had some rain (& storms & Tempest) the signal will probably carry a bit further I expect.
