These have a Built in Limiter, that works on the main output, and if set wrong, can sound grotty...

"A" series has limiter set knobs and defeat switches, but with PPMs reading about right, really hammers the limiters
Easy fix, is back off the Input trim pots, or use the defeat switches

But Some sort of Slow AGC is a good idea on streaming, but this desks limiters can over do it, if set wrong by user
and, as its limiters, are only Single Band, (Not Two band, Like the FM and TV Optimod have) can mangle things
The Other Alice Air 2000 desks, used by Caroline, don't have limiters, only it's separate PSU gets hot and fails
