It seems it has David, of course due to the arid dry ground condition, the ground wave will be reduced to some extent - it's why the signal carries further over the sea - it's always wet !! 😡.
The 648 audio quality was fine tuned at Orford last week & sounds better even to my old ears - there may be further tweaks......
