Regarding receivers for the High Band VHF narrowband transmissions
(FM 16K0F3E 25 kHz channel spacing) there are no particular commercially available receivers that I know of, the only devices available are probably VHF UHF Scanners. I think most listen using 2 metre mobile amateur transceivers.
STx and the Radio Albatros mediumwave team would, I'm sure, have some ideas on how to overcome the antenna issues for Arctic 252 as Longwave is effectively just a bigger version of Mediumwave..(If you know what I mean...)
By the way, music sounds fine over the VHF Comms band, it's LoFi but quite listenable and has a certain LoFi appeal.
EQ and compress / limit the audio into the transmitter and it seems to work fine..
