Rugby was amazing, it was 12 x 820 foot masts, most of which, were to support the capacity hat
This site used to be, the 60 khz time signal AND the Really Low Submarine Comms as well on 16khz
Site was Hillmorton near Rugby, cant find it on MB21, but this link has some info...

I got to look up close, at the BBC Daventry 648 mast before it was demolished
I climbed up on the ATH building, and looked through the small windows, The ATU parts had gone
but I could see the Two current measure toriods still in place, round the Two feedpoints
Two, because it was a so called Anti Fading design, Base fed and Insulator high up fed as well
An old saying "The more it changes, the more it's the same thing" seem to apply to antennas....
Think of a full Quarter wave, fed against earth, now bend the top half horizontal=Inverted "L"
Next, think of top half bent sloping towards ground, and you have the start of the Umbrella
Then if you fold it right down Parallel with the mast, you have the folded Unipole
Matt cannot get anywhere near these sort of mast heights, so a short umbrella type may be OK
Saw this interesting MW site on MB21, pity don't show exact feed point, off to the right...

Has Alan B done any simulations on the 5 mast array? STx, after your Survey showed the NW null ?
Are there any better programs than EZnec to do this nowadays?
