https://rugbyradiostation.co.uk/ The dropdown menu "years" at the top good
Another good site, shows (If you scroll 3/4 way down) Pics of the ATH building,
for Rugby 648Khz, that I Climbed up, to have a look at, before it was demolished
https://bbceng.info/Operations/transmitter_ops/Reminiscences/Daventry/bowman1.htm#Aerials%20in%20the%20immediate%20post%20war%20years
If you Zoom in, you can see the two Insulators, on RH end of building, feeding out
Amazing thing of this site was, was fed with open wire "coax" on poles 7000 foot away
Previously when this was on air, running The Third Program (radio 3) Despite the fact
that I lived around 15km (over 9 miles) away, I had 2nd harmonic problems, with me
trying to hear Manx Radio, who at that time, were on 232mtrs..(twice 647khz/ 464mtrs)
Luckily, I could put the side null of my large frame aerial, towards Daventry
But the annoying, bursts of Concert Hall music, with mains buzz, still occurred
The strange thing was, intermittent buzzing noises of 2nd harmonic, were Locked to
the 50hz mains freq. So suppose RF was intermittently getting into 3 phase rectifiers?
Many hours of fascinating reading, on this page alone, and others on BBCeng.info
