But I refer you first to a previous post of mine where I was present when a representative of the Isle of Man project approached Ronan O'Rahilly endeavouring to enthuse him. Ronan responded I AM NOT REMOTELY INTERESTED.
If you are suggesting that Ross Revenge could be thrown in to the mix, she was in no fit state to go anywhere and her ownership was at the time a mystery.
As it happens another person that Ronan warned me to stay away from was Chris Cary as whatever arrangement made with him would go awry. This was at the time that Chris was offering some unused satellite air time. I was so keen to have this that I ignored Ronan but he was proven to be correct. As a relative of Chris later told me 'Chris gives with one hand and takes away with the other '.
At some point in Tilbury, Chris arrived with Peter Chicago with his own notion to take Revenge to the IOM. He did not feel the need to ask me first and Ronan would have vetoed this anyway. I do not know if he had been embraced by the project directors/investors or if they had been consulted.
So I don't see how it would have helped Caroline. We just waited until some opportunities came along and exploited them as they appeared. These things were not as bold or dynamic as a mighty signal on 279, but at least they happened and were sustainable.
