Re: Whatever happened to the people who invested in Musicmann 279?

Ive written quite enough obits and presented too many eulogies to want to reply to this, but John Laxton was a largish investor (about 8% IIRC) and I can report he is fine. Crane and Kabbary were leeches and between them they caused the downfall of the project, by their greed. We had over a hundred shareholders, and most are still alive and in good health. A good pal of mine from Scarborough put in over £420k (a seventh of the money "in the pot") but he only had 4% of the shares, thanks to the greed of others. He and I still talk, but he wont invest in radio again. Just shows that money can kill radio, as well as can the lack of enough!
