Reading back over all this, it is was it is, we still have a form of Caroline. Sometimes it is difficult to back up claims with proof, of what may have happened, we see this everyday on the news. Sometimes the claims are false or rejected as conspiracy theories, but who can say for definite if anything is true or not, unless you were actually there yourself, then some will never believe you if it is not the official adopted version. you will never convince anyone of something they don't want to believe. I bet there are some things about all this we will never know. All i know is we are able to enjoy Caroline today and if it had stayed at sea, We may not like it now as it would have evolved into something more modern. I rather doubt it would have still been there now in 2018 as one of the storms would have probably seen it join the Mi Amigo. I much proffered the offshore version, but then as we get older our opinions and judgements change, we take less chances with dangerous situations too.
I don't think many of the current DJ's would like to make the commitment of what they had to do with all the risks back in 1964-1990, even the few that actually were there at that time.
