I'll include it in here for reference since it's late in the day and it will soon be gone. I really love fashion history. I felt like for a long time that I had a pretty good handle on 20's fashions until I saw this picture! LOL!! At least I am assuming this is 20's. It seems to look like that era to me... although is it later in the decade, possibly? I've always thought that 20's women's dresses were much more straight (showing no curves) and drop-waisted than most of these are! I could show pics, but I think you all know what I mean. It's a big reason why I didn't buy any of the Devereaux Sisters by Tonner. While some of them were quite pretty, I felt, for the most part, the silhouettes he did for them didn't look authentic. (Maybe I need to rethink that!) I liked AD Gene's "Will You Marry Me?" much better. Please don't take offense if you have them, it's a personal thing for sure! Anyway, I'm just sort of surprised by this photo. Anyone else? I'd love to hear if you are knowledgeable on the subject and especially if you could pinpoint a date for the photo! I do know there were some other silhouettes in the 20's, one that comes to mind is the Biltmore dress. I don't remember ever seeing any silhouette like the first and last girl have on here, though. (so much more high waisted and form fitting!) Anyway, Thanks! Thought it might be fun to talk about.
