using a Direction finder..(the ones with 4x switched aerials) you see signals from more than one direction
Whereas, at High Band 165-174Mhz, and DAB 174-240Mhz, you only get One signal, with little multipath"
of course BAND III (and moreso UHF) does in fact have reflections especially in urban areas. It caused 'ghosts' on analogue TV with a basic set-top aerial, or even a good directional outside aerial in problem areas.
FM band (band II) suffers less attenuation passing through brick walls and trees etc at ground level. This is regardless of analogue/digital. Increasing transmitter powers (if allowed) will of course help indoor reception of SSDAB.
