It must be a full time job, doing the Admin, and looking after the techy stuff as well,
like, The IT side & making sure the small stations, got a good enough Internet bandwidth
to start with, so don't buffer on the way Upstream, at busy Internet times of day
I Emailed a firm in Yorkshire, who were the Last UK people, to actually Build DAB TX
He said the problem Multiplexes seem to have, is Keeping small stations on them
They go on, thinking OK, but after a few months, realise their savings going down
and then come off. OK if you can get stations on, with deep pockets, or grant money
Also, and this is The problem in Rural areas, If Trying to cover several small Towns
can end up, needing several TX Sites, So more £ outlay, not just for Filters and TXs
but multiple Ongoing £ going out for site rental, Internet connection to each site etc
And, of course, the difficulty of synchronising them, to run as a SFN on the same Freq.
I am not against DAB, I have 3 sets myself, only 1 (car radio) can do DAB+ new Decoding
What Freq/ Group? is the London SSDAB on?
The Lower Freq. ones should have a better range, than the ones Way up above 200 Mhz +
