In some peoples minds, the only perfect situation for Caroline - would be the Ross in International waters, belting out 50kw - & playing just "Their" fav music
That will never happen, the Generator fuel, would be unafordable for starters,

We are just very lucky, to have 648 with 4kw & Flashback online - for those that like the older stuff. We are also lucky, that enough people with the essential skills, like Alan Beech & Rob Ashard & a few others, who put a lot of effort keeping the technical side working - sometimes on a shoestring
Not to mention the many good Presenters, who talk to us - not AT us, between the songs.
The Caroline we have, is not perfect, but is a lot better than the commercial alternatives gurgling away on DAB & FM - & the BBC, which never stop talking between a few songs & cost a fortune to run.
