Your encouragement is appreciated. I was sorry to upset Walter but did you notice how convenient it was that he was ' just about 'to donate to Caroline but stopped when I hurt his feelings.

In 1970 when I made my foray in to land piracy with short lived station Radio North West, it caused me to meet a large number of young misfits, invariably male, who needed the status of knowing some snippet of information that others did not know.

After the 1989 raid I sat with Chris Kennedy who was present and involved and thought by some to be the hero of the day. But the middle aged anoraks sitting at our table would not accept Kennedy's descriptions of the day, saying that he was wrong and stating their version of events.

So those young misfits by 2025 are now very old misfits. With pub meetings and news letters being long since replaced by the internet, they have unlimited oppportunity to state their opinions.

I guess it does no harm aside from being at times exasperating.
