This thread has 78 responses ( well 79 now ) so it seems to assume some importance until you notice that 43 responses came from the same three people.

Our most recent survey showed that 25% of our listeners use AM. 10% use our combined DAB's.

To build an AM site today from scratch would be far too expensive, but we occupied an existing site prepared at huge expense by the BBC.

The Harris DX25 cost maybe 5% of the original purchase price, or less. We imported it, repaired and converted it, delivered and installed it using our own combined volunteer labour at no cost.

Many AM operators have withdrawn since energy is so expensive. This week gone we are part way through enhancing our Solar generation. If the Sun is kind to us today you will see that our power meter may top 20KW. When the installation is complete that will show 40KW on a good day. So we are future proofing our power needs ( presently 12KW ) and gifting surplus to our Landlords for their use to thank them for their major assistance.

I hope you thus see that you uninformed and unpleasant comment was quite unjustified and wrong.
