Hi Tony, I'll admit to possibly being a bit over-cautious when it comes to speculation about Church doctrines. It is just that I have seen too many friends engage in that activity only to end up in happy-clappy land, only too willing to look for the easy way out in many moral and doctrinal situations - virtually out of the Church in that they no longer believe in the Real Presence, Confession, the Rosary, and all the other Catholic stuff.

Which leads me to my use of "Catholics". It is not a sneer, but merely a rejection of the use of the name Catholic by those who no longer earn the right to use it, by virtue of the fact that, in theory and in praxis, they no longer adhere to traditional Catholicism. And in regard to "comfort-seekers", is that really overly harsh in describing those who take the easy way out?
