And I didn't actually list Wood in my "Catholics" category. In regard to him and his theology, I simply said that he is on dangerous ground, as I have seen many Catholic friends flirt with such speculation, and end up slipping into heresy, although still thinking of themselves as Catholics. Wood claims that he is true to the Magisterium, and merely likes speculating on heretical positions. That's fine, but I think it is dangerous. Let's see whether he is still a Catholic in a further eight years.
The "Catholics" I referred to are those who call themselves Catholic even after obvious departures from the true Faith. There are quite a few political figures in this category, but also many others, not so publically obvious, but quite active in parishes.
