77 MHz, 151 - 152 MHz and 173 - 174 MHz
using 16KOF3E ./ 25 kHz channels.
Sydney is the main hotbed for the VHF stations but there’s a couple in Melbourne too.
Transmitter power for VHF NAS is
50 watts pY and 5 watts pY for the Low Power option.
Most stations use commercial VHF NAS transmitters
that have 100 watts pY output to allow for signal losses in the transmission path to meet the 83 watts eirp.
It’s an interesting alternative to the crowded 87.5 - 108 MHz FM band.
