We watched it last night and I enjoyed it but found it a little confusing as it jumped around in years a few scenes but no one seemed to change much so I wasn't sure what time period it was ac couple times. Chris kept asking me who the people were (he isn't familiar with the subject matter and characters) and he said he thought they didn't explain who anyone really was at the start. My personal connection to the story... when I worked at UPS, I worked on a route for a year in Old Westbury, Long Island and would often deliver to CZ Guest's estate. She was usually working in the garden and would come to get her packages. The first time I delivered to her I wasn't sure where to go and she was very firm with me and scary! LOL But she told me where to park the trunk and showed me where to put packages when she wasn't home. She would get deliveries a few times a week and if it wasn't raining she would be out in the gardens and greet me. As I encountered her over the year I found her to be very nice but very cool and controlled. I have to say I thought Chloe Sevigny really captured her. |
