Ireland also got allocated the frequency 846 at the same time as 549 , ( 846kHz a frequency in the news recently).

BTW, does anyone here know when did the unlicensed 'United Christian Broadcasters' (UCB) relay on 549 finally come to an end?? (and also when did it first appear?)

Subsequently, the first legal use of the transmitter/frequency was in late 2008 by a temporary licenced country music station (over a series of weekends) , before later in use 'full time' by Spirit Radio , but that AM transmission has been gone a few years now .
