Sean the founder of Radio West was in 1990 part of a group that proposed to get involved with the troubled Independent national station Century Radio - according to the text underneath this video

Could they have helped save the station !?

(this video shows a then local radio studio in Cavan town, and then the building that was home to Century Radio, which closed in the following year. The narration when this was broadcast on TV appears not to have been archived with the video).


Incidentally the building were Century Radio studios was, is visible here:

and an STL on long pole from the days of the ill-fated Century still at the gable end (right hand side) of the building, over one third of a Century later! I do not know if that was a primary STL link, or possibly a backup to a leased line link?
