Correct me if I'm wrong/what I say is new information but still worth a challenge, but Twiggy and Cardboard Shoes were the result of ‘say the first thing that comes into your head’ new-boy names shouted out when they first set foot on the boat. Eg “ooh you’re slim ….” and “hang on, give me a minute - ‘Skues me - well i didn’t smell it’. No, wait, I’ve got a better one, he’s climbed aboard in Brogues…’

Maybe in the same way that Kenny Everett once decided everyone should be named after a sweet. Cosmic’s name was I gather just a literal description and not his ‘go to market’ moniker. But in fairness if it works for Twiggy, no problem. Phase it out or bring it back as you see fit. like a catch phrase. On second thought, please kill that one.
