Well factories and workers like radio listeners are dying off. There isn't even a basic understanding of radio with the current generation, most mobiles no longer have an FM tuner app or an ear phone socket to use as an aerial.

I saw someone on social media who had purchased a vintage radio and was very disappointed that they could not hear the "old timey" radio stations only modern music, and that the stations on the dial were not there! I assumed it was a wind-up but no, they actually thought it would play stations from the era of the radio.
