As an update, the model arrived - pretty fast, I think considering how far it has come. The 3D renderings didn't mislead - it actually is as detailed as the pictures. The print is a slightly flexible plastic so I hope it won't be too fragile though I think it will need exceptionally careful handling with all those lattice masts, radar and cranes.

Unfortunately the print of the island has some problems - it looks like the temperature was too high and some detail has melted, filling in corners and smoothing features. I've contacted the seller to ask for a replacement part so we'll see how they respond.

Once I have the replacement, I'll snip it out of the support structure and take some photos to post on here but so far I'm extremely impressed at the detail and quality of finish on the rest of the model. Not so sure about the plate detail on the flight deck - a bit of fillering may be required there!
