I do not think that Steve Kent nor Radio Caroline do silly season stories. We leave the silliness to others. I don't thus see the need for all the ?????'s. He only reported the plan for interested Radio Caroline people. Who did or did not pick up on it was not his concern.
He wants AM as it would be more robust for his local area than DAB or FM due to the nature of the terrain.
His logic of wishing to use something that others have abandoned and nobody else wants will be mysterious to Ofcom. Our similar request and reasoning began in 2010 and did not see a result until 2016/17. I doubt that he cares much about possible reception in Wales, Ireland or France. It would be a local service. In the event of success maybe he will give us the overnights.
