On the 30th July, on the R. Caroline thread on digitalspy, a regular poster (Phil Webster) posted :

"I see in the latest Caroline newsletter that Mark Neeter ( ex Caroline Steve Kent) is trying to set up Atlantic 630 using the Lanner (Redruth) transmitter site which is shortly to be vacated by BBC Radio 5.
Could be an interesting development."

Is this a credible story, or some sort of 'silly season' thing???

Why hasn't it been reported elsewhere, such as on mediumwave.info ?

The 630 frequency has in fact been unused there for over 6 years since BBC Radio Cornwall ceased using MW from that site, so 630 could potentially have already been used for a new use with similar power before now (be it from that site, assuming combiner still there, or a different new site in the area).

I'd like to think its credible, and if 2kW or so would attract attention over a larger area than south-west England, and including southwest Wales, the south-coast of Ireland, and northwest coast of France, where it would be something on what has become a very quiet daytime MW band
