The send from Strood to 648 is now running on a PC running streaming software called Rocketbrodacster, and that in turn is running StereoTool processing as a software Plugin.
The stream is mono at 128. Alan Beech suggested that we try Icecast instead of Shoutcast.
I think the Raspberry Pi is probably what is running the Icecast server at his.
I agree that the mid and top on 648 sounds better. I thought that immediately. This is probably down to the StereoTool processing, or maybe the actual stream.
Most importantly, it does seem to be a more solid and stable stream.
