I listened 200 miles slightly North West of Orfordness near the Welsh border with absolutely no problems. I travelled to Northampton and back listening in my car on 648 all the way and on my journey home with excellent reception from Wolverhampton onward on the M6 and onto the A14. On the way home in the dark after Wolverhampton and onto the M54 there was some Radio Luxembourg style fading to be expected but still very listanable.
I really think some people are too fussy, I have had no issues and I listen daily outside of the the official reception area.
