With a lot of big buildings filled with steel it's possible that some areas can't get 648,in Guernsey the signal is a lot weaker on the south coast beaches due to the cliffs, and there is an area of town which seems to kill 648 and also has some electrical interference.Was able to hear Caroline from the ship in that area when the big transmitter was used but the ship was further south than Orfordness.
