As Orlake was staunchly non-unionised, they could run all weekend doing extra pressings in quick response to big sale volumes (often brought on by heavy plays on certain stations!). You had to get your own masters lacquered up, and send them over in a cab - the boxes of records would be ready within hours. I think they also did lots of specialised pressings - that notorious Madonna one for example, and some of your friend David Sullivan's give-aways in his magazines (and the Daily Spurt?).
