Mike try reading the paper from OFCOM, ±9kHz is already the maximum allowed bandwidth in the UK on MW, but most stations are only allowed to use ±7.5kHz. What OFCOM are saying is they will consider on a case by case basis an increase up to the existing maximum of ±9kHz.
