What I was trying to say is that overall mid-grey was an acceptable substitute for camouflage schemes, not that one side be camouflaged & the other in grey.
I had a battered M2 come to me many years ago which I refurbished as 'Breconshire'- I just painted her in an overall mid-grey.
The old adage 'the devil is in the detail' applies strongly!
