My understanding is that the pennant on the side, such as A75, is a national number; recognised as such. The four flag code is an international recognition method. One of the ships that I served on was HMS Albion [R07] with the international flag code GKXS; another: HMS Hermes [R12] was GKZH. It would be great to find a source for all the other RN and RFA vessels. cheers, Mike
