Re: New (to me) picture of HMS Exeter 1982
The funnel top has certainly been repainted as a Flotilla leader; the blue waterline (& hull) has taken a pasting. LM book notes this was a new self-polishing co-polymer paint trialled for 3 years. It was replaced by a dark plum coloured version post-Falklands
