Limited range Re: The List Oct 14
The book in question was "Merchant Ships Represented by the Models of Len Jordan". It was a fine effort prepared by our own Mike Costello back in 1998 and reprinted in 2000! However, Len kept producing models after the list was prepared so it doesn't cover later models by Len. It lists about 2,000 alternative names to Len's earlier models. Just glancing through it quickly the highest numbered model I saw was M75 but Mike can tell you I am sure what the last model listed is. Some later versions of the list of all merchant ship models put out by Wiedling were supposed to have had sister ship names but I only have the older editions of his list that did not include them. I have no idea of how useful that would be. Perhaps someone with a copy of his last list might enlighten us? DonH
