That would be so ... certainly in the past where qualified librarians were available to assist. I'm honestly not sure what, with 'Hubs' & volunteer staffing, the situation is.

(Thinking of Inter-Library Loans, many years ago Lincoln Central Library ordered a copy of Ian Buxton's 'Big Gun Monitors' [the first ed] for a, err, 'staff request'. On its return it went into 'reserve', because it was 'nickable' but was never there, because it was always out to libraries throughout the UK. What happened to it after 1996 I don't know - in a booksale for 10/- I suppose)
