Has anyone seen any evidence that Lonnie Donegan ever performed in NYC's Stork Club in the late 1950s? I've come across an Alan Lomax reference to Donegan's appearance there, but can't confirm that it ever actually happened. If it did, knowing the year would date Lomax's writing--which is the search that led me here in the first place. Google AI seems to suggest, at some moments at least, that he appeared there for a New Years performance, but doesn't offer any corroborating evidence. Thanks for any thoughts . . .
