I too had seen those dates, when Donegan made a series of TV appearances (the Jack Paar Show, etc.) None of the references, though, indicated anything at the Stork Club, an elite "place to be" in NYC. I guess it's possible that he showed up there while in the City for one of those TV appearances, but that just doesn't seem very likely. This is all about trying to temporally locate an Alan Lomax reference, who was not happy that Donegan was claiming copyright of some Leadbelly songs that the Lomaxes had recorded.
