Milo Yiannopoulos is set to be the grand marshal of the Boston Straight Pride Parade on Aug. 31.
. I'm wondering if this organisation is taking the proverbial 'P'.
Without getting into why Yiannopoulos is such a controversial figure, he is, without doubt, one of the most well known homosexuals in the world.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that!)
Apparently 'Super Happy Fun America advocates on behalf of the straight community in order to build respect, inclusivity, equality, diversity, ... blah, blah, blah'.
Seriously? And you couldn't find a better representative for this mission statement than Milo?
It's bizarre.
I think this will catch on here in Australia. It's just a matter of time.
Good luck with that, even our conservative, free-speech champion of a PM has banned Milo (he must be really bad!).
I wish them well but Milo is a divisive figure even among conservatives and many potential attendees or supporters might just scratch their heads and be well and truly put off by this strange choice.
