It's more than attention seeking with Milo, he's incoherent. I don't mind him attacking the church, especially at the leadership level for the appalling job they did and, arguably, still do in covering up abuse.
But what does that dreadful issue a disservice is linking it to 'liberals' in church leadership.
It simply doesn't matter if those responsible for covering up or even facilitating abuse were 'liberal' or 'conservative'; it's irrelevant and a distraction.
Beyond that, these terms are not objectively measurable and reflect on those who seek to use them as rhetorical weapons, rather than reality.
And this is just one example of Milo's incoherence.
But, like Izzy, he's entitled to his points of view. What is puzzling is why he's deemed suitable for such an event.
Milo alienates people, not just so-called 'progressives', but just about any sector of the political spectrum.
Mind you there's a pattern emerging here.
Your first champion was Israel Folau who regards Catholics as 'Idolaters' on the same hell-bound list as gays.
Now Milo's the hero?
Among his many other achievements is to have married his partner a couple of years ago yet, in the video, he claims to be a Catholic.
Normally this alone would attract the scorne of the likes of you and John -- 'anyone can claim to be a Catholic -- but, of course, Milo's just an 'attention seeker'.
