Mine was a FedEx snail mail notice of overdue payment I owed in the amount of $17.

The timing coincided, roughly, with a package sent from Khoi in June.

But besides an invoice number on this notice, and my name and address, there was nothing to identify the transaction: no tracking number, no sender, no point of origin, no package description. Nothing. It did not even say what the $17 was for.

Because of this lack of info, I got online to see if this was some kind of scam. Nothing definitive.

So I looked online to find the direct help number for FedEx. (I did not want to call the number on the invoice, just in case it was part of the scam.)

The FedEx helped number was a voice activated chat bot. Once I entered the invoice number, it correctly told me the amount due. And that was when I decided it was a legitimate charge, and I paid it on that call right then.

But a very weird experience, and I still don’t understand why that snail mail invoice didn’t have more info on it so that I could trust that it was legitimate.

Anyway, caveat emptor. :-)

if it was legit I would receive an actual invoice from FedEx which I did a few weeks later. I didn't pay it even then but when I received a second overdue invoice I thought I better pay. I didn't see anything about Homeland Security. This bill would have been for the items from OwenSu/Muses Doll. I received another FedEx bill just the other day for a dress I bought from Aquatalis. Both bills were for $19. Unfortunately, I think I'm done buying from overseas.
