they might go for.
Watching several right now on older FM stuff and getting inundated with offers.
I am sending nice messages to the sellers letting them know I am only watching and why. I just think that's the right thing to do, just how I am. But one of them was not pleased to get the message, set them off and I do not know why.
Am I just being stupid sending messages like this? Should I just ignore the offers and not say anything?
Am I being 'too nice'? Which I have been accused of being many times.
Life is hard sometimes. I'm not trying to make it harder.

I hate it! I get offers and eBay alerts etc just for looking

I'm a bit confused. Are you watching auctions on ebay or some other auction site...

If it is on Ebay, the system generates offers the seller is uninvolved with. If you are watching specific listing, the ebay algorithm tries to entice you by giving you an offer in attempt to make you bid. If you take the offer, the seller then has to also accept it for the sale to be made. I have taken offers only to have the seller counter offer.

If you are watching auctions on other sites, perhaps they have the same system in place.

ebay constantly pressures Sellers to give offers. Offers don't work.

So it's doubly annoying. Someone, possibly another designer, watches my offerings, for whatever reason except actually buying anything. Ebay badgers me to make an offer, and badgers the watcher as well.

Altogether irksome, but not particularly harmful.
You are not obligated to do anything.
