I posted 3 items on ebay for sale. I goofed. I did not turn on international shipping. I have a potential bidder in Spain who is interested in one of my auctions. I had contacted ebay and the only way to fix this was to cancel the auction since there was already a bid on it. I did not want to do that to nullify an actual bidder. The bidder in Spain suggested they put in a fake USA address and bid and if they actually won, give the Spainish address. I responded that I was uncomfortable with this. Is this an ok way of getting around my mistake? If it is, I'll contact them again and tell them to go ahead. Thanks for any insight you can give me.
I had the same thing happen on one of my auctions...

And yes, the only way to do anything about it is to cancel and relist. Make sure that you also ban that person from bidding on your option again.

Please wait until the actual bidder completes the transaction, then correct the remaining two items.
Try not to cancel an auction with an actual bid, if there is no reason to do so. The bidder didn't do anything wrong.
When you set up your auctions, you can check the International boxes. I think Ebay will honor a bid from an international whether you said yes, or not. I think your Spanish bidder can bid, there is obvious visibility. It's whether or not they bid.
