I've used this method for any doll I wanted to switch heads & so far, haven't had any problems. Put her head first in the corner of a zip freezer bag (they can withstand the heat). I usually wrap something around her neck or shoulders to keep the moisture out. Rubberband or twist tie. Heat a cup of water in the microwave until just boiling. Take out & gently place the doll, head first into the cup & balance her body until she is stable. Leave her there for 10-20 minutes, checking at 10. It all depends on how hot the water was as I try not to make it too hot. Make sure you have a towel ready for any spills or drips. When I feel her head is soft enough I just remove the band & zip bag & she's ready. I've used this as I don't own a hair dryer & am too impatient with the heating pad.

- I've damaged some hair with the hair dryer method, and hot water does too. Heating pad works for me - Ori January 31, 2022, 10:52 am
