My morning photo session: Everything old is new again! Archived Message

I finally took some time to enjoy taking some photos of some dolls that are relatively new to ME, though they are not NEW dolls. I swear I say every day off is going to be a doll day, but it never seems to happen. So, I am glad I did get in a little time for pics this morning...and hopefully will do some more this afternoon.

First up is a doll I have wanted for ages, it seems. I was finally able to get her last year. I believe this was one of the dolls from Marilyn Hook's collection. She is the 2008 tour doll, Riviera Romp Madra Lord. She goes beautifully with the other 30's inspired Madra dolls from that year. Sadly, even though this doll appears to have been MIB/NRFB, her white pants have the beginnings of brown spots on them. Ugh. But even that does not diminish the beauty of this doll!

Next is another doll I have wanted for years. She is the 2002 color variation Swingtime Serenade Violet Waters. FAO did a special edition in white. Again, though this doll was MIB/NRFB, she has brown spots dotted across the right hand side of the dress. Ugh! Still, I am thrilled to have this beauty at last!

Last, this is a duplicate doll for me. I had brushed out the hair on my first one many years ago, which left it looking frizzy...so, I have been wanting a second one to return to the original hairstyle. She is 2003 Glowing Reviews Violet Waters. This one always reminds me of Dorothy Dandridge.

    Enjoy...
