I love Halloween... just as much as Christmas. I always look forward to decorating our house and handing out candy to the kids. Next week it will be here, and then it is November already. This year seems to have just flown by in the blink of an eye and autumn always makes me melancholy.

As we begin our decent into the holiday season, it is a busy time of year, so take some time to enjoy the things you love.

Someone messaged me asking why I would give up such a nice item from my collection as a prize? I said, "it has sat in a box, in storage for over 10 years. I already own the dressed doll. I would love someone to own it and enjoy it."

I have a hard time selling anything from my Gene collection. I open boxes with the intention of thinning my collection and and end up with nothing to sell. I may not play with them very much but I love them too much to part with. The Tonner's and 12" dolls on the other hand, I have no problem parting with.

Which leads me to collecting in general. For the past year, I have fallen into the rabbit hole of Pop Mart figures. The collection I have acquired is embarrassingly huge. LOL But I love them and they make me happy. If you want to see some... I posted my Instagram below.

My point here is, do what you love. Make yourself happy. Enjoy what you have and buy what you want. I have two shelves of Gene's on display in my office. Every time I look at them I smile. I think they are so beautiful. And for a few minutes I am in a happy place.
