George made it through a long surgery that was more complicated than expected. He’s awake and alert today in ICU but in a lot of pain. His prognosis is good. We’ll know more in the next couple of days.

I spent part of the long wait yesterday opening & enjoying a stack of beautiful cards. It was a great way to occupy some time! Thank you all for the diversions.

I’m still mostly lurking but will jump in when I can. George had asked me if I wanted something special for Christmas. I responded that all I wanted was for him to get through this and get back home. Here’s hoping my Christmas wish continues to come true and that each of you receives yours as well.
