This has been a week of really interesting ideas...
No, not mine, but other people telling me what the Bible "actually" says.
And some of these ideas they "share" are really out there...Where? I don't know.
Many folks twist Scripture to try to get it to say what they want. The latest example is this idea that Christians don't sin, ever.
Think about that for a moment...Perfect People.
World peace and no starving children.
Is that what we have???
No.
We have a world full of evil and strife, so what's happening? If Christians are incapable to sin why is the world so divided?
"Fools say in their hearts,
‘There is no God.’
They are corrupt,
they do abominable deeds;
there is no one who does good." Psalm 14:1
"They have all gone astray,
they are all alike perverse;
there is no one who does good,
no, not one." Psalm 14:3
"They have all fallen away,
they are all alike perverse;
there is no one who does good,
no, not one." Psalm 53:3
You do know that when God repeats something it's really important, don't you?
"Surely there is no one on earth so righteous
as to do good without ever sinning." Ecclesiastes 7:20
"If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. "1 John 1:8
So, what should we say to those who cling to the false doctrine that says that "Once I'm saved I can sin all I want"?
Well...
"What then are we to say?
Should we continue in sin in order that grace may abound?
By no means!
How can we who died to sin go on living in it?"
Romans 6:1-2
"What then?
Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace?
By no means!" Romans 6:15
Remember when I asked about if you had heard of the principal of "If God repeats, it's important"? God just repeated something, did you catch it?
I fear the real problem is that people do not want to give God any honour, they seem to want to deny Him any respect whatsoever. Society has banned Him from the public schools and public displays. His Laws are fought over in court like some kind of "hate speech".
Even people who are "active members" of churches refuse to stand wholly on Gods Word because they want to fit into the world without making waves.
When will people stop and look?
When will they realize that God deserves their love, respect and, yes, fear?
Soon?
Later?
Now?
Never?
Sad, isn't it?
"Here is the patience of the Saints: those here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Rev. 14:12 (Geneva 1560)

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 ESV All rights reserved. Praise, I said praise The Lord!
