Freddie. The Mickey Mouse Aerial was a temporary fixture after the pipe fell down at the end of '72. It consisted of a 40' mast with an array that went to the rear mast. Radio Veronica used this set up when they broadcasted from the Mi Amigo in April 73 after the Norderney was grounded. It worked surprisingly well with the 10kw zender. Caroline then began constructing the triangular mast which lasted until October 73 when it collapsed. The final mast that went down with the ship in 1980 was constructed at the end of 1973 in time for the start of Radio Mi Amigo after Atlantis left to broadcast from The Jeanine. Bob Noakes' book covers this period in some detail.
