I remember having high hopes but it was slightly uncomfortable viewing. He sort of had the confidence of someone really famous, but of course he now wasn't. It had potential but I gather that he was difficult to produce.
I'll see if any of my TV buddies worked on either the original, the LWT follow up (very possible, or this version on Channel 4.
